Anne's Biography

Anne has lived on Bainbridge Island for over 10 years. As a child, she studied piano, voice and music theory at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA. She has been a working accompanist since age 12, playing for high school musicals, church choirs, and various vocal and instrumental soloists.

Anne has accompanied the Bainbridge Island Chorale for 6 years, and performed with them at Benaroya Hall in 2003. Check the calendar above for dates and times of Chorale performances.

Anne continues her study of jazz piano at Cornish College of the Arts and will complete her degree in piano performance in May, 2005.

Anne teaches piano full-time and also accompanies the Bainbridge Violin Studio and Voice Gallery. She composes liturgical choral music and is working on a mass for choir and orchestra.

The Anne Pell Trio, with Ted Enderle on bass and John Lester on drums and Anne on the piano, performs jazz classics and Anne's original compositions.

Anne is fluent in French and Spanish, speaks a little Russian and Italian, and recently started a course of study in Arabic. She also plays guitar and flute. She has lived in England and Russia, and enjoys traveling and playing all over the world.
